A demonstration of human interface device (HID) testing using the Nextgen ATAM Connect Cobot automation platform.

In this video we examine some of the challenges faced by HID testing and how test automation can help broaden the range of tests possible to ensure consistent and reliable HID performance in a variety of different conditions.  For hardware OEMs Keyboard and Mouse HID automated testing can be run continuously for a period of time gather a large dataset which when aggregated builds a detailed characterisation of responsiveness, accuracy and latency over thousands of keyboard key presses or mouse movements.

Response time and latency to keyboard and mouse clicks and reliable and accurate mouse tracking are examples of how premium HID makers can ensure products exceed expectations and maintain best possible brand perception through peak product performance and ultra-reliability.

Here we demonstrate how HID OEMs use Nextgen automation to ensure that wireless human interface devices perform as expected in a wide variety of test scenarios, using high repetition to build an accurate profile of performance.
